collection of vignettes--more often half-vignettes--poking fun at Christmas
archetypes and cliches...A running series of voiceovers about "the
first time I realized Santa wasn't real" are funny in much the
same way as Jack Handey's "Deep Thoughts" on "Saturday
Night Live." Surprisingly enough, a Jerry Springer spoof ("Our
guests today say they are pregnant by God") works as well. Mark
Dahl as a guy opening presents, Emily Dugan as the Virgin Mary and
Joanna
Buese as Princess Leia are all standouts.”

is an absurdist trashing of “the most wonderful time of the year.”
Written and performed by 25 of the WNEP Theater Resident Company and Artistic
Associates and directed by Executive Director Don Hall, CHRISTMAS MY ASS
(redux) is a 75-minute rollercoaster ride humbugging everything from “It’s
a Wonderful Life” to the faux altruism that coincides with the “suicide”
holiday.
