Directed by Bob Wilson

Written by Joe Janes, this WNEP world premiere
explored the world of Dr. Carlton Twist and his bizarre
attempts to harness the power of the human brain.
Assisted by his close friend, Sigmund Freud, Twist
enlists the aid of a Dadaist performance troupe, teaches
them to perform vaudeville and ships them off to
Metaluna, Indiana where the citizens of this small, rural
town (including the corrupt mayor and his suffragette
daughter) are anything but prepared for this Dadaist
invasion. The play received rave reviews from The
Reader
, NewCity and The Windy City Times. This
bizarre ride also enjoyed an LA premiere, directed by
Kate Hendrickson.

"...Joe Janes' wildly absurdist five ring theatrical circus
engulfs the audience in some vastly cosmic cerebral and
physical acrobatics...methodically insane...outlandish
brilliance..."
-- NewCity

 "RARE AND REMARKABLE"
-- Chicago Reader

"SMART CAN BE FUN"
-- Windy City Times

"Zestfully played with great over-the-top style...wild whirlwind pacing... It's vaudeville with an Avant-garde warping and intellectual sexual innuendoes galore."
--
LA TIMES
